How to keep your car cool when your air conditioner is broken

When your air conditioner is broken in the blazing summer and you cannot get it repaired for some time, you can still enjoy a comfortable car ride.

There are some tricks to keeping your car cool, and you do not have to worry about feeling the excruciating heat. Here are eight ways to keeping cool when your A/C is broken:

Roll the windows down

This one is obvious, and you should never keep the windows closed when the weather is extremely hot. When you are driving down the road, the wind will keep you cool even though your gas mileage may take a hit.

Park in the shade

The worst way to make your car absorb more heat is to park your car in direct burning sunlight. Finding a shaded area will do your car wonders, so try to find a spot under a tree or a shaded building.

Even though the parking spot may be a bit further from the store you are going to, shade is the best way to keeping your car cool.

Leave your window slightly open

When you are vacating your vehicle, leave the windows slightly cracked open so that you can let air flow throughout your car.

The ventilation will prevent heat from storing inside your vehicle, and it will feel less hot. Don't open the window too much as it can be a target for thieves, and remove any important valuables before leaving your car.

Cooling seat covers

Cooling seat covers are extremely helpful when you want to keep your car cool without A/C. The cooling seat covers will cool your head, back, and legs in the blazing summer.
